Coach Fred Gichuru
Lift That Lid.
Coach Fred Gichuru is a business strategy coach, leadership trainer and dynamic speaker passionate about helping men and leaders recognise their potential, build meaningful relationships and live with purpose. Through his work, he challenges the conventional measures of success, inviting men to look beyond money, status and recognition to consider the deeper questions of identity, friendship, responsibility and legacy.
He is the founder of LidLifter Consultancy and Fayhope Group of Companies. Since 2011, he has built and led businesses in school transport, corporate shuttle services and business consultancy, serving more than 700 people daily and providing income for over 70 people. His leadership journey has reinforced his conviction that success is not simply about what a person builds, but also about the lives they influence along the way.
Lift That Lid
This conviction informs his signature message, “Lift That Lid.” Fred believes that many people carry untapped potential but lack the confidence or encouragement to realise it. Sometimes, all it takes is someone who sees what they cannot yet see in themselves. Through LidLifter Consultancy, he works to help individuals and leaders recognise that potential and act on it.
Books
Fred is the author of Life by Design, Not Default (2024) and The Manhood Code: A Journey of Friendship, Purpose and Becoming. The latter begins with a simple but searching observation: “There is a quiet hunger in every man — not for money, success, or recognition, but for connection.”
Through The Manhood Code, Fred opens an important conversation about what it really means to become a man. He explores the role of genuine friendship, mentorship, accountability, purpose and legacy in shaping healthier men and stronger communities. Moving beyond the pressure to appear strong or successful, the book invites men to build relationships where they can speak honestly, grow together and take responsibility for the lives they are becoming.
The book also forms the foundation of a ten-session Manhood Conversation Bootcamp, designed to move men from reflection to practical action. With a long-term vision of reaching 100,000 men, Fred is building a movement around a simple conviction: men become stronger when they do not have to build their lives alone.

Fred holds a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Professional Studies, is pursuing a Bachelor of Leadership at International Leadership University, and holds a leadership certification from John C.
